APCOM Project

Content Creator and Interviewer
Project Overview
This project aimed to raise awareness about the LGBTQIA+ community by highlighting how it is interconnected with all aspects of life.

It was divided into three parts:
The first discussed the limitations of the gender binary.

The second addressed discrimination against LGBTQIA+ individuals in the workplace because of their sexual orientation and gender identity.

And the last part focused on unfair treatment in various settings such as families, schools, workplaces, and healthcare services in Thailand.
My Contributions
Within the scope of this project for APCOM, a non-profit organization representing a network of individuals and community-based organizations across 35 countries in Asia and the Pacific, I oversaw the creation and execution of content from start to finish.

This included developing topics, collaborating with team members, identifying interviewees, drafting the scripts, conducting interviews, and directing the editing process. I worked diligently to ensure a seamless and successful project outcome.

The story of Toom, Parinya Charoenphol, a globally recognized professional boxer who broke down barriers within the gender binary in sports during a time when society was less accepting of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Today, Toom runs her own boxing gym in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan. However, after a prolonged lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her business is once again suffering due to the arrival of another wave of outbreaks.

As a content creator at SPECTRUM, an online media platform about Gender Equality and Human Diversity Issues in Thailand. I have gained extensive experience in creating engaging content and promoting numerous related brands to a wider audience.

My expertise includes producing various forms of content including videos, infographics, articles, and advertisement articles. In addition, I have had the opportunity to work collaboratively with team members, interviewees (such as KOLs and community leaders), and notable brand clients.

This video highlights the urgent need for companies in Thailand to address the discrimination faced by members of the LGBTQIA+ community in the workplace. It emphasizes that it is not acceptable for individuals to face bigotry and be disadvantaged by discriminatory policies. The call to action is to tackle discrimination while promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

This is a powerful reminder that Thailand is not a "LGBTQIA+ paradise," as many institutions, including families, schools, workplaces, and healthcare services, continue to discriminate against LGBTQIA+ individuals. This prejudice has no place in a democratic society, and we must work towards creating a more inclusive and accepting environment for all.
